Founded with the vision of transforming racing pigeon breeding, Zhangjiakou Seno Biotech is dedicated to applying cutting-edge molecular biology technology to the avian genetics field. Our goal is to empower global fanciers and breeders with reliable, data-driven genetic insights, enabling superior selection and propagation of top-performing pigeons.

- Established Expertise: Founded in 2014, Seno Biotech boasts 10 years of focused experience in specialized DNA testing and reagent development within the biotechnology sector.
- Strategic Relocation & Investment: In 2020, we were invited to establish our operations in the prestigious Northern Silicon Valley Park in Qiaodong District, Zhangjiakou. This move cemented our status as a key local technology enterprise.
- Government Recognition & Authority: We are officially recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise and a Technology-Oriented Small and Medium-sized Enterprise. In 2021, we were designated the Zhangjiakou City Key Gene Detection Laboratory—a testament to our authoritative role in regional scientific advancement.

- State-of-the-Art Facilities: We operate two major laboratory complexes spanning a total area of 1,500 square meters. Our facilities are purpose-built for high-throughput and high-precision molecular diagnostics.
- Technological Investment: Our diverse range of advanced equipment represents a total value of 1 Million USD, ensuring we maintain industry-leading accuracy and analytical capability.
- High-Caliber R&D Team: Our dedicated team of 15 laboratory staff includes 2 PhDs and 2 Masters-level scientists. This high concentration of expertise drives our reagent development and ensures the scientific rigor of every test we perform.
- Innovation & IP: We hold over 20 patents related to biological testing and reagent development, demonstrating our commitment to proprietary innovation in avian genetics.

Our High-Caliber Laboratory Team¶
Our dedicated laboratory team is composed of highly qualified scientific personnel, including two PhDs and four Masters-level scientists, along with numerous specialized professionals.
Our experience is deep-rooted: half of our team members possess five or more years of specialized experience working within biotech laboratories. This foundation of expertise provides us with a robust capability in new product development and ensures the scientific rigor behind all our testing and reagent development.

Chief Scientific Expert – Dr. Zhang Yiwen
Dr. Zhang Yiwen holds a PhD in Genetics from Hebei Agricultural University, China. He is the Chief Scientific Expert and SEO of Zhangjiakou SENO Biotechnology Co., Ltd.
In 2024, Dr. Zhang was awarded the Second Prize of Hebei Provincial Science and Technology Award. He has led multiple applied genetics and molecular testing projects and holds 15 authorized patents, including 3 invention patents, reflecting strong capabilities in research innovation and industrial application.Research Expert – Dr. Lan
Dr. Lan received his PhD from Hebei Agricultural University and is currently a Professor at Hebei North University. His research focuses on genetics and molecular biology, with extensive experience in academic research and higher education.Research Expert – Dr. Shi
Dr. Shi holds a PhD from Hebei Agricultural University and specializes in genetics-related research, contributing scientific expertise to applied genetic testing and research projects.

PigeonGene is an avian genetic testing service operated by a registered biotechnology laboratory.
We focus exclusively on bird DNA analysis for breeding reference, research, and educational purposes.
Our testing methodology is based on established molecular biology techniques and supported by
published avian genetics research. We do not provide race predictions, guarantees, or medical diagnoses.
All services are intended strictly for animal use and are not applicable to human or veterinary
medical diagnosis.
